Bottle Description

In 1984 Gordon & MacPhail became the liscenced bottlers of Clynelish, few would have known then that this label design would become as instanly recognisable as it is today. The label design was first used in 1973 on an Edward & Edward bottling for Edwardo Giaccone, an acclaimed Italian bar owner. The iconic label became the official livery of Clynelish in 1977 although there were more than one colour range. This particular expression adorns the lesser seen Red and Green label, bottled in the early 1980's at 57% abv. Demand for older bottling's like these has soared over the years amongst descerning collectors and connoisuers due to the increasingly limited numbers available at auction.
