N/ABottle Description
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) was founded in 1983 in Edinburgh, the organisation is a members only club that buys malt whisky from over 170 distilleries in Scotland and worldwide. These bottling's are low in number and made available to their members through a monthly outrun, these expressions don't tell you the name of the distillery it came from but are named in code. Each distillery has it's own code, each bottling lists age statement and the type of Cask used to mature or finished in and normally given a quirky name. Many of these expressions are well sought after, the older ones in particular with many of these from closed distilleries.
'Seductive Sweetness and Smooth Smoke' was distilled at Blair Athol Distillery in 2011, matured in a 2nd fill ex-Bourbon barrel then bottled at 7 years old. One of only 147 bottles produced.

Distillery Information
Allt-A-Bhainne Distillery was built in 1975 by Seagrams on the brae face of Glenrinnes, Speyside. It’s modern design stands out in comparison to other, more traditional, distilleries in the region. The distillery was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2001 which then merged with Chivas Brothers. The distillery was mothballed in 2003 for two years, before being reopened in 2005. The malt from this distillery is mostly used for blending but does boast scarce single malt releases.
