The Stories series was first introduced in 2019, the series tells the individual story of how each expression was made. showcasing the talents of apprentice distiller at Balvenie Kelsey McKechnie under the watchful eye of master distiller David Stewart.
Introduceded in 2021 as part of a three part release which included a younger 14 year old and a 19 year old which was only available to travel retail. The Week of Peat is the second instalment of the Stories Series from Balvenie, the aptly named range produces a different story decribing the processes of the making of the expression. In 2002 Balvenie started set aside one week in the year to use peat in their malting kiln (as was common practice long ago), this release tells the story of Ian Miller the former distillery manager, using smoke from Speyside peat for that single week of the year. Matured using three different Cask types.
